Guest Schnauzer: Maia

Today’s guest Schnauzer is Maia and she is the the first female Miniature Schnauzer I’ve featured on the blog! Maia has her own Twitter account, which you can subscribe to: @MaiaPascoe. I think Maia is super cute, so get ready for plenty of ‘awwwwws’…
Meet Maia:
Maia is the little cutey featured on the right (click the photo to enlarge it and then hit back to return to this page). Her daddy submitted her to be featured as ‘guest Schnauzer’, here’s her story in his words:
“We knew Maia was right for us for several reasons, but the most interesting is that she was born one day before we were married (July 24, 2009). We had always known we wanted a female Schnauzer and in the middle of September we decided it was time to start looking. Maia weighed 3.2 lbs when we picked her up from the breeder at 8 weeks old. We named her after the Greek goddess Maia because she lives near the best mountain in the world, the Rocky Mountains, she had several sisters just like the goddess, and her mommy Stephanie also has a Greek name!”
Maia loves…
The snow! She is the happiest pup from October to March, when snow covers the ground in her home state of Colorado. Watch Maia playing in the snow as a tiny puppy:
Like Sid, Maia will also remove all of the socks from the bottom drawer, even if you leave it just slightly open! She enjoys long walks and has a strange attraction to cat toys.

She is pretty isn’t she! Braylynn, your brood will be on the blog Monday – I’ve been working on the post today adding the images and text! I’ve got a special one publishing tomorrow – Schnauzer Valentines Gifts!
